Once you arrive in country and are settled into your new town and school, the CIEE Resident Coordinator is on your side to help with difficult circumstances and problems that can arise in a different culture and an extremely different job negotiation climate as well as on 24-hour emergency support.
Not only has your placement been pre-screened by CIEE for you, but also, CIEE can help to make sure that your contract terms are followed by your host school. CIEE also acts as a liaison between you, your school, and government officials to give you a strong communication advantage.
While CIEE cannot act as legal advisor, they are there to negotiate and communicate with the proper parties on your behalf in any circumstance. The staff both in China and the UK are there to support your experience.
