VOLUNTEER THAILANDOur volunteer projects are designed with two main goals in mind:1. To provide volunteers from around the world with a better awareness of Thai people, culture, and language through unique experiences in order for them to gain invaluable life skills. 2. To promote the improvement and advancement of the educational, social, and economic welfare of Thailand and its people ![]() |
Volunteer TasksSome of our volunteer placements involve educating young people from Thailand by teaching them English. In a lot of cases, these children come from extremely poor families, or have been orphaned, abandoned, or had various other types of traumatic experiences in their young lives. In addition to teaching basic English on these placements, other volunteer duties might include light construction tasks, painting, gardening or kitchen duties, or other tasks and activities as needed for the benefit of the children and the village in which they live. Other volunteer placements offered are related to conservation and environmental awareness issues in Thailand. Please see the Projects section of this web page for more specific information on current volunteer opportunities with us.Needs Addressed by Our ProjectsOur teaching and orphanage projects strive to offer children an alternative to any negative past experiences and give them an opportunity to heal any emotional wounds they may have by providing a loving and encouraging environment. This is achieved through education, interaction, forgiveness, and understanding by volunteers which helps to instill these children with confidence and skills, which in turn allows them to be self-sufficient and positive members of society. Our conservation and environmental projects encourage the education of Thai people on such issues as the protection of wildlife and the natural environment of Thailand. What is included?• A 3-day (minimum) all-inclusive orientation in Thailand• Free, furnished accommodation during the project • All meals throughout the project • Transportation from the airport • Transportation to and from the volunteer site • Ongoing in-country support throughout your stay Minimum Requirements• Excellent spoken and written English skills (if project involves teaching).• Good physical and mental health, able to do occasionally physically demanding tasks on some projects. • A genuine interest in Thailand and cultural exchange. • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and adaptability to new and unfamiliar situations. • A positive attitude and enthusiasm about volunteering! • Note: A university degree is not required. |
