IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS PLANNING ON GOING TO THE US THIS SUMMER: DUE TO THE SEVERE DELAYS IN OBTAINING FACE TO FACE VISA APPOINTMENTS AT THE US EMBASSY IN LONDON AND THE US CONSULATE IN BELFAST, ANY APPLICATIONS RECEIVED NOW ARE HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO RECEIVE THEIR VISAS UNTIL THE END OF JULY 2008. PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND WHEN PLANNING YOUR DATES!
Internship USA allows you to spend up to 12 months in a US company as an intern!
Our partner CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) is the largest and longest running "legal sponsor" for this programme, and has been assisting students from all over the world on J1 programmes for over 60 years!
Each year, thousands of international students go to the US for an Internship - getting invaluable international experience, and a year living in one of the most diverse and exciting countries in the world!
Please take some time to read the information on this page - and the others, as we feel it is very important for you to understand as much as possible about the programme, how to apply etc.
If you are looking to go to the USA it will save you (and us) lots of time if you read as much as you can about the J1 internship Programme! If you have questions that can not be answered on this website (or that of CIEE's) please feel free to email us at info@istplus.com (or use the "Contact IST Plus" link on the menu to the left!

CIEE also have a list of opportunities posted by a limited number of Host Companies in the US.

**Please follow the instructions on this site very carefully, as there is a SPECIFIC way of applying for these positions!
Once you have got your placement, both you and your "Host Company" in the US will need to complete part of the application forms. You can download yours by going to the download section of this site.
The Host Company will need to get theirs (the DS7002 form) from CIEE's Host Company Section http://www.ciee.org/trainee/newhc/
Once you have both these completed, you can then send them together to us, and we'll start the process for you!
