The Programme
You are placed in a summer camp to work for 8 or 15 weeks as a counsellor or as support staff. Camps take on three types of counsellors, who live and work with groups of campers 24 hours a day.General counsellors live with, supervise and organise activities for a specific group of campers.
Specialist counsellors teach specific activities such as football, tennis, sailing and ceramics.
Special needs counsellors work with campers who have disabilities
Support staff work in maintenance, housekeeping, the kitchens, laundry, or front office.
Ages 19 – 28 when working in the camp.
Enhanced police clearance check
Able to commit for 8 – 15 weeks during the summer
Mature, motivated, patient and flexible character
Near-native standard of English language proficiency
Dates and Deadlines
Most camps require counsellors and support staff by the middle of June. Applications and full documentation must reach IST Plus before April 15.
Participants who do not have police clearance can apply through IST Plus and must allow at least eight weeks for final results.

Two references from teachers, employers, club leaders or coaches
